Description de l’éditeur

Barry Goldwater's 1952 U.S. Senate campaign received contributions from Mafia operative Willie Bioff. Goldwater's brother Robert was a Phoenix banker who also frequented Las Vegas casinos, as did Barry Goldwater. The brothers ran a leather goods business under their own name in Las Vegas. This firm had Mafia investors. When Barry Goldwater ran for president in 1964, the name Goldwater was suddenly removed from the business. The U.S. Senator's closest Mafia ties were with Gus Greenbaum, a Phoenix businessman and Las Vegas transplant.
