Because assault is not a necessary element of the crime of attempted murder, the trial court did not err in refusing to instruct the jury that second degree assault is a lesser included crime of attempted first degree murder. Further, admission of potentially cumulative identification testimony was not prejudicial because similar testimony was admitted earlier without objection. Affirmed.
