Understanding Evangelism and Spiritual Growth

Christianity is a life to be lived. It starts with a birth by God through the HolySpirit as a result of faith in the fi nished work of Jesus Christ. Christians are Godsagents to sow the word for this birth to take place in the lives of individuals. 2Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God didbeseech [you] by us: we pray [you] in Christs stead, be ye reconciled to God.(KJV) It is our responsibilities as Christians to be faithful partners with the Father, Sonand the Holy Spirit to bring many to the knowledge of our Lord and Savior JesusChrist. Let us take up the challenge to evangelize the unsaved.The Church and Ministers need to re-examine their duties as gifted men tothe body of Christ and to consider Gods goal for the individual believer, Romans8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed tothe image of his Son, that he might be the fi rstborn among many brethren.(KJV) andEphesians 4:11-14 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, forthe work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all comein the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfectman, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we [henceforth]be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind ofdoctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in waitto deceive;(KJV)Provision need to be adequately made and implemented for individualbelievers to grow in the Lord.It is my prayer that this book will serve as an additional tool for preparingthe body of Christ for the Masters task. We as ministers of the gospel will beanswerable to God just as those given the talents were called to account for theirstewardship. It will be unfortunate if we fail in the responsibilities entrusted to us.The Lord is counting on us.
