Avrianna Heavenborn is called to a crime scene at the Veil, a magickal portal that links her world to Earth. The victim had been fleeing for his life when he was shot in the forehead with a spiral bullet.

Now Avrianna is chasing a mysterious and notorious assassin, trying to stop her from taking another life. As the body count rises, so does Avrianna's rage.
