Universal World Myth

Universal World Myth presents 21st century cultural mythology.  The book has a timeless approach to storytelling that encompasses archetypes from the human psyche that resonate with all members of the human race regardless of race, culture, society or territory.  This book builds on the concepts presented by Joseph Campbell in his successful series The Power of Myth.  Today, the mythology of the global, human race has emerged.  And Universal World Myth presents it with many of the characters and life stories that are common today.  


It is believed that people can read the myth and write their personal stories as staged through the lens of the myth.  People can choose to act on the myth for greater life fulfillment and satisfaction.  The book places the reader on the quest, which all human beings are destined to travel in their own minds.  Inevitably, all people play roles.  The events of their lives are morality plays.  All resolution is growth or destruction.  No matter how personal or epic the storytelling logistics of a person’s life, their day-to-day existence is a character-driven morality play based on subconscious wanderings called the Myth of Modern Man.  


- Myth 3. The Leopard Changes Its Spots: Some people have developed the uncanny ability to assume and discard roles to gain trust, take advantage, then disappear. 




- Myth 5. Everyone Has Their Day: Egotists seeks celebrity status over all life accomplishments.  But they seldom find happiness and peace of mind with goals so out-of-step with authentic success.




- Myth 12. How Santa Lost His Bag: Compassionate people want to be charitable but they don’t know how so they contribute money to large organizations to do it for them.  But it is a trap. 




- Myth 16. Saints and Sinners: People in a hierarchical organization gain authentic success when they acknowledge that revolutionary ideas come from all members of a group not only those with “credentials”.




- Myth 22. Trash and Treasure: Shape-shifters create thievery or mayhem to come forward in the midst of the disaster to be a marred hero.  But he is naïve to about his ability to effect outcome. 




- Myth 24. Trial by Fire:  A person presents a solution for a modern problem but they are crushed when it causes disaster instead of healing.  A Wise Old Man or Wise Old Woman shows them that all solutions have a time and a purpose outside of mankind’s control.
