A Message from the Author

EXODUS-meaning Exit
God said to Abram, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years.
But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve, and afterward, they will come out with many possessions.
And as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age. Then in the fourth generation, they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete."
This is "The Sons of Israel's" exit story.
The sons of Israel were invited to live in Egypt by the Pharaoh. Joseph, son of Jacob, called Israel, Viceroy of Egypt, oversaw Egypt's welfare. The kindness shown to Joseph and his family by the Pharaoh allowed the Israelites to grow unmolested in great numbers.
A new king of Egypt who did not know Joseph or his contribution to Egypt's good health only saw foreigners living in his country. Concerned with self-preservation began a process of oppression and enslavement of the sons of Israel.
Take note two things are going on here, the deliverance of an oppressed people and the building of a nation of people complete with a set of rules to live by.
