I encourage our readers to advise me of significant remembrance events in their communities. I thank Matthew Brown for the account of a special service held in Silver Creek, Quebec. I welcome your input, although publication may depend on space constraints. "At 9 a.m. on November 8, 2009, St. Thomas Anglican Church in Silver Creek, Quebec held a special service of remembrance and rededication to celebrate the restoration of two Military Rolls of Honour that were stolen from the small community over two years ago. We had over 70 people at our small church (it normally seats 45) including a sizable contingent of vets from our small community. The Quebec MNA for our region, Norman MacMillan, Quebec Minister of Transport, also made it out to the service. Veterans Affairs and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54 in Buckingham (Gatineau), Que., each funded 50 per cent of our restoration project.
