Water Weal

Maggie Norrice sees a person on the bridge in the fenland village of Sparrow Bank the night a car goes into the river. This rocks her reclusive life by causing hidden memories to bubble to the surface.


When a man's body is found in the car the Edinburgh detective, Inspector Campbell, and his team track the crisscrossing lives of artists, farmers, publicans, business men and environmental scientists and officers at Sparrow Bank. 


Campbell's persistence in chasing down the clues carries him deep into Maggie's back-ground; while Maggie is drawn into danger by her own investigations. 


And, Campbell won't let matters rest until he can resolve the threats facing the villagers and he has found a resolution to the mystery of the dead man in the car.
