Laura Walker is truly content. With her husband Dominic, she is celebrating their daughter Cassie’s seventh birthday, with no idea that the dark past is about to reappear in the most cruel and dramatic fashion.


Two brothers are found brutally murdered in Birmingham. That’s the start. Somebody’s lover is dead, whilst those responsible walk around unpunished. While they go on living the dream with their happy home life, somebody is left to endure an unendurable loss. That same somebody will right that wrong.


Laura might think that life is sweet, but terror and tragedy are coming. She will have to face up to the awful impossible reality of her daughter’s abduction. When the police seem to be getting nowhere, something else is needed. But what?
