In our modern culture of stimulation and distraction, levels of anxiety and sensory disorders are rising amongst today's youth. When I Am Quiet explores themes of mindfulness and imagination, teaching children the skill of finding peaceful moments amid the busyness of their inner and outer lives. This can help sooth their feelings of stress and support them in the face of life’s many challenges. At the same time, present moment awareness can nurture many positive forms of development including focus, flow, emotional regulation, and relating positively to self, others, and the environment.
