Great Granny Franny still rides horses, which are kept by her own "children", who are also Grand-mothers!! Her favorite horse is "Fancy", a 21-year-old Buckskin paint mare. "Fancy" is a Great-Granny herself!! "Fancy" is the Grand-daughter of a Bay Quarter Horse mare, who came from Colorado in the 1970's.

After Great Granny Franny retired from teaching high school Special Ed, she devoted much time and effort to her love of drawing, painting, and scissor-cut designs, in order to illustrate some of the poems and stories she had written over much of her life.
