WISDOM

This book is a poetic paraphrase of the the book sometimes found in the “Apocrypha” section of modern Christian bibles, but often omitted altogether.  The poet, believing the original author was a woman, has striven to preserve the grace and power of her language.  Her book appeared shortly before the time of Jesus and was one of the few surviving texts from the fires at the great library of Alexandria in Egypt. The library was destroyed by rampaging mobs of Christians, intent on erasing all traces of the the ancient world to make way for their new religion.
