In a strange turn of events, P.J. is thrust into a twisted, sinister plot of greed and murder. She escapes and finds herself once again aided by wolves as she struggles to survive in the wilderness and learn why her uncle wants her dead.

In contrast to the trauma she has endured and the danger she faces, P.J. finds love and security with her wolf family, as well as fun and laughter with three mischievous pups she names "Moe, Larry, and Curly."

As the truth comes to light, she's recaptured. Her father and deputy Jackie Novak are in pursuit, but will they find her in time? Will P.J. live to reveal the horrible secret she has uncovered? Good and evil collide in a ferocious climax as a storm rolls into the mountains.
