Kit Millinger is not one who readily believes in the supernatural, let alone trying to contact the dead. When she's plagued by a recurring dream about a deceased lover, her best friend helps Kit in reaching out to him. The one-word message she receives opens old wounds and guilt that has remained buried for years. When she meets a new man in town, she learns that he's anything but ordinary. Steven not only rocks her world, but also the cozy relationship she's just forged with Dwight, a male co-worker. As if matters weren't chaotic enough, she's embroiled in a struggle to save a mansion she enjoyed as a child. Gruesome events occur, and she's left fighting them off. What she discovers in the end haunts her more than the dream itself.
