#1 BESTSELLING GLOBAL PHENOMENON
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking book that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable read.
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.
At least, he’s not a beast all the time.
As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find
a way to stop it or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
High-stakes magic and red-hot romance jump-start the first instalment in this epic fantasy series. When desperate young hunter Feyre Archeron kills a wolf that turns out to be magical, she must pay the price, leaving her starving family behind to become a prisoner in the dangerous world of the faerie. But life in this supernatural realm is far from the slavery she had feared. Everything about the faerie life is rich and enticing—especially Feyre’s masked captor, the High Lord Tamlin. Sarah J. Maas’ resourceful heroine definitely doesn’t need rescuing, and we loved following along as she fights to free her strange new homeland from an ancient curse. Narrator Jennifer Ikeda seamlessly portrays every heart-pounding moment of the sweeping tale, from the bloody power battles of the faerie courts to the dangerously steamy love scenes. A Court of Thorns and Roses takes you to a sensual world bursting with complex magic and unbridled lust.
Customer Reviews
The story is good but the insipid almost AI quality of the reader ruins any enjoyment of this book .
This is an adventure novel but the monotones insipid A I tones of the reader . Ruin any resemblance of adventure or of love I wish my eyes were better so that I could read it myself . I can’t sit through listening to that voice again no matter how good the story
Too Expensive
£20 for an audiobook! I really wanted to read this book but 20 pounds is really a lot of money.
