If your family was targeted in the middle of the night, what would you do?
You are asleep. A noise wakes you.
You stir, unsure why, and turn to your partner.
Then you hear it.
Glass. Crunching underfoot.
Your worst fears are about to be realized.
Someone is inside your home.
Your choices are limited.
You can run. Or stay and fight.
What would you do?

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Don’t be fooled by this story's contemplative start—it soon explodes into an adrenalin-pumping thriller that grips like a vice. When tragedy besets married couple Tom and Rachel, they retreat to a remote house in Scotland with their daughter to to heal their broken bonds. However, a home invasion on their first night leaves them in a desperate, twisting fight for their lives. Flashbacks flesh out the very believable family’s lives, while also throwing in few well-placed red herrings. Ewan dials up the suspense so expertly that the story becomes impossible to switch off until the shocking and satisfying finale.

A good listen
Perhaps I just picked the wrong book but I really struggled to listen to this. It helped when I sped it up by a quarter but even then it dragged.
