Classic Post Nuclear War Fiction
The story is interesting survival based on reasonable scenarios. It is not Mad Max or modern dystopian armageddon survivalist nonsense.
It shows it’s age as EMP is not discussed, although the tech in the year the hydrogen bombs drop would be less susceptible to EMP.
A good read, classic story.
