Publisher Description
When Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert of Green Gables, Prince Edward Island, send for a boy orphan to help them out at the farm, they are in no way prepared for the error that will change their lives. The mistake takes the shape of Anne Shirley, a redheaded 11-year-old girl who can talk anyone under the table. Fortunately, her sunny nature and quirky imagination quickly win over her reluctant foster parents. Anne's feisty spirit soon draws many friends - and much trouble - her way.
Montgomery wrote the novel in the twilight of the day, sitting at her window and overlooking the fields of Cavendish. Since publication, Anne of Green Gables has sold more than 50 million copies.
Customer Reviews
Great!
This takes me back to when I was little listening to it with my mum and now I'm listening to it with my daughter. It's a fantastic story. I think it's wonderfully read. Love it!
Part 1...?
This may just be me being stupid, but I haven't got part 1. I love the story and know it off by heart, but it would be nice to have part 1 all the same. Please sort this out or help me!
Beautiful story
This is such a lovely story which can't fail to make you think about your own childhood. This is a beautifully read adaptation which I have thoroughly enjoyed on many occasions.
I can recommend that you purchase this audiobook. I hope you get as many hours of pleasure from it as I have....
