Social Justice Undertones or romance novel?
La Robert’s continued epiphany of embracing all that is woke, continues in this predictable polemic against the enemies of social liberalism and promotion of Girl Boss values! The irony of using her psychopath killer as the vessel for stereotyping a “Prepper” as being a Christian, anti-vaxer, anti-gay gun nut, seems to have escaped the author, in her pursuit of winning woke bingo.
Men are either criminal, incompetent or validation/affirmation accessories for the women in the book, the latter being done at regular intervals throughout. If this level of bias was reversed there would be charges of misogyny, apparently misandry doesn’t exist when in the world of chic-flic/lit women are either victims or girl bosses!!
No doubt it pays well and gives her the correct virtue status in the groups she frequents, how representative she is, who knows.
