Publisher Description

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Day comes the first novel in the Crossfire series - a provocative masterstroke of abandon and obsession that redefined the meaning of desire, and became a global phenomenon.

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness...

He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily...

Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds...and desires.

The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart...

Good read

Better written than 50 shades, but I'm not as enthralled by their relationship as I was with Anna and Christian. It all happens so quickly, and easily. Where as with 50 shades, they really have to work through issues to be together. Still an enjoyable read/listen though

Strange Male Character Voice

Great books. The audio version ruined by the Gideon voice - what was being thought? Should have just read from his perspective not have a high ladies voice dropping to a deep monotone one - very odd! Got all the other guys fine
Odd and ruined

Audiobook Convert Thanks to Sylvia Day

I can now say that I am an Audiobook convert! I love a good book but never seem to be able to find the time to absorb myself into reading without everyday commitments getting in the way (apart from when I am on holiday).
At the beginning of November I was due to fly and was dreading the flight as I didn't have any onboard entertainment and suffer with travel sickness both car and plane. It wasn't until I was at the airport that my friend recommended an audiobook. Intrigued by the thought I simply went onto ITunes on the top rated Audiobooks and downloaded the first one which caught me eye (without reading the description because I didn't really have the time to choose).
I am so glad that I did firstly take my friends advice and secondly pick this book from a random selection. I became addicted and in fact sent the entire 5 hour flight listening to the book. I was captured by the story and couldn't tear myself away. I did not only listened to this book but also the second book during my weeks holiday. Since returning I also continued with the third and am now on the fourth book, already dreading that it will soon be ending. I am able to listen to this book in the car and whilst walking the dog. I have started enjoying "me" time again and I hope I will be able to find another audio book that measures up. I would certainly recommend both an audiobook and the Crossfire Novels. Enjoy :)
