Beautiful and inspirational
I just love Matt’s style of writing the way he writes from each character’s perspective. I loved listening to this book- the narrator just nailed the characters voices. This book had me smiling laughing and crying. I loved also being a northerner I could relate to the setting.
Thank you Matt for writing this. Another book that you could see as a great film.
Heartwarming and groundbreaking
A wonderful story about loyalty in love, family ,friendships and to yourself ;about enjoying it , testing it and rejoicing in it!! Such a lovely book by a now accomplished author and media personality which also explores the different kinds of gay acceptance and fear by the elderly , the suburban small town man and those from countries where homosexuality is still taboo.
Matt Cain’s well rounded characters that we can all identify with in our friendship groups give gravitas as well as humour and cracking one liners. An excellent read..and in my case listen! Thank you so so much for many hours of great pleasure with this audio book read perfectly by Samuel Barnett.
