David
Young, successful and charming – Louise cannot believe a man like him would look at her twice let alone be attracted to her. But that all comes to a grinding halt when she meets his wife…
Adele
Beautiful, elegant and sweet – Louise's new friend seems perfect in every way. As she becomes obsessed by this flawless couple, entangled in the intricate web of their marriage, they each, in turn, reach out to her.
But only when she gets to know them both does she begin to see the cracks… Is David really is the man she thought she knew and is Adele as vulnerable as she appears?
Just what terrible secrets are they both hiding and how far will they go to keep them?
‘Fully realized characters, peerless writing, a tank of a plot that sustains the suspense right to the end, and a whammy of a finale. It takes a lot to catch me out, but this one did. It'll get you too…’ Joanne Harris

*Look Closer*
This book is so hard to describe, it’s so dark and twisted and filled with surprises galore.
Adele is beautiful, classy and has an air of effortless chic about her. From a very young age she sets her sights on David, he is 5 years older and her family don’t approve. Rob her close friend and in Adele’s eyes once he meets David and get on all will be well in the world
Louise divorced goes out for a catch up and whilst in the bar her friend blows her off and she runs straight into David. They get on like a house on fire and kiss and he rushes off. The next day at work she sees David with his wife being interviewed and hides embarrassed that he will be her new boss.
The scary thing is Adele seems to know everything, how is she doing it, Adele hatches a plan and she reels Louise into her twisted scenario by purposely bumping into Louise and befriending her. Now people who get near David either disappear or are never seen again, the twist at the end adds to the plot
Good characters
Enjoyed the characters but didn’t know when purchasing that this was a somewhat paranormal plot. Not really a psychological thriller.
Ridiculous
Ridiculous ending.
I felt abused and will never read anything from this author again
