As if the first book in the trilogy wasn’t good enough M O’Keefe delivers another smexually charged and thrilling instalment in the Hearts series set in the Midnight Dinasty world. Ronan is lost ship in a sea of destruction but meeting Poppy brought life to his darkened soul, a light that he must not appreciate and must let shine as far away from him as possible. Poppy’s life is in danger, running away from two duelling families. Secrets, money and past ghosts make Ronan hide Poppy in the last place someone would look but temptation is too much too resist.
Rock Engle was a great surprise addition to the audio trilogy. His accent brought a strong sense of reality to the audiobook, I felt Ronan’s essence and pain through his voice. Kit Swann is the perfect Poppy, something sweet, something broken but completely strong.
