E-Book Review… Amazing Story
This book totally blew my mind.
I enjoyed it so much that I would love to read it again for the first time! I was on the edge of my seat turning pages furiously as the action just kept coming!
The first half has the most amazing character development as we get to know the girl, her boss and his henchmen. I immediately felt for the girl, her narrative was so heartbreakingly lonely…
The whole story opens out with brilliant visuals and it’s almost like watching a film. The plot, the interactions, the behaviour of each character, it is so engrossing, it totally gets a grip of you and I found myself unable to put it down.
Yes it’s violent and brutal but not to the point where you are cringing or wishing it was over. The balance is just right, the story is so cleverly orchestrated that I found myself in full agreement with all their decisions!!!
The relationship between Raize and Ash has a natural inevitability to it… it is completely believable and I was fully sold by it. What I also love is that no one really changes their character… they are criminals and thats what they do….but there are also some really lovely moments. Times when they share their thoughts and humour, it’s these little exchanges that makes you see them, getting little glimpses into who they are. These make the story so much richer for me….very clever writing!
Raize and his crew set out with zero trust in each other to do some pretty horrendous ‘jobs’ …they have a goal and the more time we spend the more we start to see their true selves. They have to rely on each other and slowly their team forms an unique bond which works!
Raize is the most fantastic male lead I have read for a while, he is unapologetic, fierce, strong, the best at what he does….He is just all that and so much more … you really must read this book to find out what I mean!
Then we have Ash, I loved her from the very beginning and as her story comes to light I found myself admiring her strength and tenacity as well.
Sad to leave this group of characters but I feel there may still be more to come….? Here’s hoping!
