Moving and compelling
This is one of the most amazing books - it's read my the author which adds to the gritty realism. It covers savagery, honour, politics and war - and images from the book of killings and torture have stuck in my mind. It covers both the futility of war (something the author talks about) and the sometimes necessity for waging it.
Fantastic
A thrilling first hand account of mercenary forces at work. Gives an insight into the real 'Mercenary' as apposed to the stereotype often conceived by people from the press. Would recommend it to anyone with an interest in military history.
