Publisher Description
A Hunter with a secret. A string of mysterious deaths. And a foul-mouthed Siamese cat familiar. What could possibly go wrong?
I’m the best there is at what I do, and what I do isn’t pretty. If a demon crosses over to our side of the Veil, or if a werewolf goes feral and kills an innocent—they send me. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, and the pay usually sucks. But I do what it takes to keep my belly full and a roof over my head.
When the Council, the group of angel-born who’d shunned me all those years ago, offer me a job, I have no choice but to take it. Everything would have worked out fine if the Council hadn’t forced me to work the case with Jax—the devilishly handsome and mysterious angel-born warrior.
But something doesn’t smell right. Literally. The deeper I dig, the worse it gets. Turns out these murders are not what they seem. They’re much, much worse...
Non-stop action and laugh out loud funny. Start the adventure today and escape into this world of magic, romance, and mystery!

Surprisingly good
Didn’t expect much from this, but I have to admit that I enjoyed the audiobook.
The plot and characters were predictable and there were no surprises but the story unrolled at a good pace, descriptive and engaging.
Slight niggles at the American confusion of grammar, eg the difference between clinched and cinched, but nothing too annoying.
Voices by the narrator were ok and fitted the characters. It may take English listeners a while to settle into the accent but again this doesn’t detract from the story.
Will consider buying the second instalment if the price is right.
