February 2012. Somewhere in the North Atlantic. In an increasingly uncertain defence environment, a deadly new arms race has begun. In an attempt to secure her boundaries, Britain has deployed the very latest sub-sea military technology.
Beneath and beyond the front line, these are the adventures of the HMS Goliath: A 55,000-tonne M-Class nuclear stealth submarine, prowling 5,000 metres below the surface...and manned by idiots. The hugely talented Best Newcomer Perrier winner (1999) Ben Willbond and Perrier nominee (2005) Jim Field Smith (Dutch Elm Conservatoire) have teamed up again for the second series of their sub-sea sitcom.

I agree with all the other reviewer's comments but think this show is far too good for TV!
brilliant comedy series ..varied characters and really funny!
Excellent comedy series ! I was a fan of the original series in 2005 and was skeptical of series 2 - BUT when i heard the first episode i am must say Positive Productions have done an excellent job of keeping up the expectations . This series exceeds stanards set by series 1 and brings home wonderful characters of familiar Jack Trainer (Trenor) , bubbly Alison Fairbanks and new character Barry (..sort of replacement for Lucy ?) - all led by the irrepresible Captain Paul Wade who plays a excellent pivotal role throughout the series.Jack seems to have become more high strung while wade is more responsible ...Alison is ..well the same.
While Lucy Radcliff will be missed - her spot is taken by capable weapons officer Barry. Commentary has also improved - so has Tom Clancy !
A highly recommended series and well presented with colorful characters depicting real to life emotions . Can't wait for the next series...I can see this making to the television soon.
I wrote another review for the first series. I found this so funny - great comedy!
