Wow... much needed - Great, and mostly well thought out.

Level - GCSE Length - 1 hour 6 minutes Rating - 4 Stars

Good content but some bits arent spoken very clearly as the 'chanted' repeats are often hurried and hard to hear. All English is translated, even the intsructions which is nice. They switch between German starting and English starting. The music is pretty lively and the audio works around the music. There are some long words like corjourly (I cant even spell it ^^).

This audio book is really good for the noun's there are a large number of really good ones. The layout is mildly intresting, you get a clearly spoken one, then a repeat. But the repeats are often harder to hear clearly. Also the nouns have the Die, Der, Das bits which is vital.

However the adjective section, is a bit hard to understand, there will be 1 English word followed by the like 4 or 5 Germany opposites, but they dont seem to be in any order and I dont know when I would use each ending.

Then there are the numbers, it is a bit hard to follow, you have the English, which is then repeated. Then the German will be said in the same manner. But the repeats are in the same format as the nouns, so the original will be spoken, then the repeat is chanted. The larger numbers are in a similar format.

There are some more advanced stuff, to dine, to joke and suchlike. But they are all very good and appreciated.

Prepositions are in the same format as before and goods and it continues...

The countries are good, and pretty comprehensive - clear as well here.

Verbs are are in the same format - so German, chant, English, chant.

I definately recommend this for anyone needing to expand their vocabularly. Anyone studying GCSE or equivilant will find this useful to get the vocab into your head. Its mostly clear and is very lively compared to the usual, its easy on the ears as well, not sharp audio and the tracks are for the most part well chosen. Only loses the star because the repitions are in a chanted form which can be unclear. If it was two clear spoken times for each word then it would be 5*'s. Also I sometimes get lost as to whether the English or German is said first, but that is due to lack of concerntration more than anything else.
