What have we done to each other?
These are the questions Nick Dunne finds himself asking on the morning of his fifth wedding anniversary, when his wife Amy suddenly disappears. The police suspect Nick. Amy's friends reveal that she was afraid of him, that she kept secrets from him. He swears it isn't true. A police examination of his computer shows strange searches. He says they weren't made by him. And then there are the persistent calls on his mobile phone. So what really did happen to Nick's beautiful wife?

A thriller full of suprises, it will keep you guessing
Gillian Flynn has written an intelligent, interesting thriller that throws many red herrings into the mix. Nick Dunn comes home from work one day to find his house in disaray and his beautiful wife, Amy, missing. Where can she be? It is a hard book to review because I don't want to reveal anything and thus spoil the story. Just when the reader thinks he has got the story sussed out, Flynn comes up with another jaw-dropping surprise. The fact that there is a male and female narrater makes for a really dramatic performance. The reason I have given it four stars instead of five is that, once all the loose end had been tied up, I rather lost interest. It goes on just a little too long. Nevertheless, I would recommend spending £14.95 on this drama, it is well worth it.
Gripping in a funny sort of way
Not your usual spine-tingling, edge of the seat sort of read but I did find myself looking forward to being alone so I could plug in and hear the next part. Well told story that dips a little two thirds through but has enough mystery and intrigue to carry you through to the end.
Liked except for narrator
Wish they'd chosen a different narrator, I find his reading is horrible to listen to.
