Turning the envelope over, his hand trembling, Harry saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake surrounding a large letter 'H'.
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
If you’re like us, you’ve read J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books so many times you can recite entire scenes verbatim. Luckily, there’s no need for that—the incomparable Stephen Fry has done it for you. With his knack for dramatic storytelling, the British actor was born to retell the first book of the wildly successful series. He gives distinct voices to Rowling’s colorful range of characters—mousey Neville Longbottom, ginormous Hagrid, a squawkily adolescent Ron Weasley—and makes this audiobook is a genuinely wonderful listen.
This book was thoroughly amazing but I face one problem.
£16. I have only just turned 13 so to me this is an extortionate amount of money. This might be reasonable for an audiobook I don’t know but it seems far too much.
Stephen ok but..
Basically the books are timeless i.e. a child, a teenager or an adult will enjoy! beautifully written, but i much preferred Jim Dales reading and have bought the cds from the states when there next i will buy the digital downloads but but but why can’t we have a choice here? again no disrespect to Stephen!
To whoever rates this 1 star, you don't deserve this audiobook anyway. Take your muggle opinions and keep them in your world, don't pollute ours :)
