It is the best audio book in the world and I mean it i recommend
Enchanting
Of the whole series of incredible books, this to me is the best, it’s nail bitingly thrilling, it’s charmingly funny, it advances the ever mysterious mythos of Grimbeard the ghastly, it’s dark at times, features the most intimidating dragon of the series thus far, the return of one of the series’ greatest villains and of course is animated into beautiful life by David Tennant, perfectly capturing the dramatic ebb and flow of the story, and rendering an absurdly large and unique roster of voices, with his amazing vocal talent and imagination. The music and occasional songs bring an extra (at times haunting) dimension that is less common in the series, and to top it all off, one can listen to this as a stand alone story should they so choose, as not knowing of the characters featured beforehand will not detract from the experience in that meaningful of a way.
An incredible book and performance in an incredible series. Whether you’re a kid, uni student, parent, anyone at all really, you’ll find Cressida and David’s story to be a treat, and a classic. I personally recommend long family car journeys as a great way to listen, or as a way to try to sleep 😁
