Laugh out loud with this unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Michael McIntyre's brilliantly funny and honest account of his life so far, Life and Laughing: My Story, read by the comedian himself.

Michael McIntyre has become Britain's biggest comedy star. His debut stand-up DVD, Live & Laughing, was the fastest selling of all time, only to be eclipsed by his second, Hello Wembley, that sold over 1.4 million copies and was the 2009 Christmas number one. He hosts his own BAFTA nominated BBC1 series, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, and won the British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand-up in 2009 following his record breaking fifty-four date Arena tour.

But how did he get there?

Michael reveals all and gives a hilarious performance in this audio edition of his remarkably honest autobiography. His showbiz roots, his appalling attempts to attract the opposite sex, his fish-out-of-water move from public to state school and his astonishing journey from selling just one ticket at the Edinburgh Festival to selling half a million tickets on his last tour. Michael's story is riveting, poignant, romantic and above all very, very funny.

funny man

After watching Michael on the comdey roadshow then seeing him live at Belfasts odyssey arena last halloween night i thought this audiobook would well be worth my time.
From the start Michael tells it all in his own voice which leads to a wonderful story about his life growing up, even the sad parts are hinged with humor as only Michael could tell.

Well worth a buy, even if you are only listening to it and not reading the book as Michael keeps pointing out lol.

Downside would be no pictures from the book, these could easily be attached for the price tag of the audiobook so you could scroll throught them on your iphone/pod or even your PC
Looks like i will have to flick through them in a shop next time im passing lol

well worth getting as its nearly 8 hours long and very hard to stop once started.
Well ended on the chapter on finding fame.

Great book!

I am such a fan of
Michael after seeing him on royal variety the first time. I saw him live in Belfast and loved his improvisation when the fireworks went off and made a joke about past bombing! He really understood northern Irish humour about the troubles!
His narration on his book was brilliant I think I enjoyed it more than
If I had read the book as he had
Me laughing out loud so many times! I was really touched in his reading about his father passing and his love of his wife.
The only thing bad was no pictures were available which was frustrating when he was referencing them.
Great book.

Love this read/listen

Because Michael reads the book you get the whole experience. Just the comedy in his voice is enough but then you hear stories of his grandma and what it was like doing his first gig it was enjoyable from start to finish. It you are a fan it's a must have, if you are looking for a good book it's a must have. 5 star all the way.
