Set in the 1960s, this story introduces us to Maggie Flynn, the most unsuspecting spy.
To the outside world, she appears as a single mother doing her best to raise her daughter and dealing with her larger-than-life mother.
However, Maggie is a spy, not in the big leagues but still a force to be reckoned with.
Now a widow, she stumbles upon a clue about her husband’s past. After his death, she discovered he was also a spy on a much larger scale than she had realised.
Balancing motherhood with her over-the-top mother, Maggie discovers someone who knew her husband. As more information comes to light, she takes a significant leap to uncover the truth.
Her quest leads her to something she shouldn’t have seen, resulting in a horrifying discovery.
The very people responsible for protecting the country are involved in unethical activities. This revelation explains her husband’s untimely death.
Determined to stop this, Maggie and her small group face challenges. However, she’s shocked when help arrives from an unexpected source. As she draws closer to the truth, her fate becomes clear.
Amidst all this, there are moments of humour, particularly when Maggie’s daughter’s love for The Beatles drives her to search for tickets.
