Sophie Kinsella’s novel made us feel brilliant even though it shouldn’t have. Our heroine Katie (or Cat, as she’s desperate to be known) watches her Instagram-perfect life crumble after her boss callously hands her the sack. Which sounds a bit miserable, right? Instead, Kinsella crafts a typically delicious story about revenge, redemption and finding the true meaning of happiness. My Not So Perfect Life is the sort of listen that makes perfect company on a rainy commute or long, dull journey.

One of the best, very funny, genuinely good plot, three dimensional, likeable characters, highly recommend for an easy listen
So problematic
… I don’t usually say ‘problematic’.. but after listening to this for 5 minutes I couldn’t not.
I loved Sophie kinsella back in my early 20s but she hasn’t grown with the times. She’s slagged off london and career girls in the first 2 seconds. She’s pitted women against each other equally as quick. She’s described the woman we should all hate as skinny and tall and pretty instantly… I mean …. Come on… get over it.
Really disappointed.
THE most annoying story teller
Seriously regretting buying this audio book. The voice of whoever is reading the story is driving me nuts ... which is a shame , as the story itself is not so bad . Not sure I can make it to the end .
