Under the streets of London lies a world most people could never dream of.

When Richard Mayhew stops to help a girl he finds bleeding in the street, his unremarkable life changes in an instant.

This act of kindness leads him to a place filled with murderers and angels, pale girls in black velvet, a Beast in a labyrinth and an Earl who holds Court in a tube train. It is strangely familiar yet utterly bizarre.

Here is London Below, the city of people who have fallen between the cracks. And for Richard Mayhew, it's just the beginning.

Absolute delight

It was a pleasure to be taken on a journey through the worlds of London Below and London Above. I could not recommend this more.

thoroughly enjoyable

I usually avoid writers reading their own work like, well Mr Croup, but gave this a go and am very glad I did. This book gave me great entertainment over several days whilst I was decluttering my house and loft, and I would recommend it to anyone with no hesitation. The narrator made the baddies so bad they made my heart actually jump, he obviously relished playing these characters, but having said that, all the characters came to life in their own way. My favourite is the Marquis, I hope we meet him in other stories. The pace of the story hardly let up for a minute and its one of those works where you feel immediately at home so well is the sense of place presented. A very good pruchase.
