A moving love story displaying all of Austen's signature wit and ironic narrative style. Persuasion is Jane Austen's last completed novel. She began it soon after she had finished Emma, completing it in August 1816.

Persuasion Read by Mary Sarah
The narrator is absolutely terrible and annihilates this wonderful story. The accent and constant mispronunciation of words is so distracting. It’s cheap but not worth it.
I can hear scribbling/ noise on the line being recorded periodically, driving me barmy. Also battling with the reading. Her accent sounds put on to me. Lots of words are seriously off. The way she says the word, ‘obliged’ is really really irritating. When Mrs Smith speaks of, I’ve shown you.... I’ll show you’ - the narrator pronounces ‘shown’ and ‘show’ as ‘shoon’ and ‘shoo’. Bizarre! Pay more for a better recording. This one jumps and stutters :o(
Narrated by someone new to the English language
It's pronounced "obliged" what the hell is "oblarzhed"! Narrator struggles with the accent and I would guess English (at least UK English) isn't her first language.
