Brandy became a generational icon with her starring role on the ’90s sitcom Moesha and hit songs like “The Boy Is Mine” (with singer Monica). In this beautiful, sincere memoir, the singer and actress finally opens up about a literal lifetime in the spotlight. Brandy was given her first solo in the church choir when she was still a toddler. By 11, she was employed as a professional backup singer, and by 15, she was releasing her acclaimed self-titled debut. Brandy speaks with incredible tenderness about the mentors who made her success possible, from her vocalist father who lovingly coached her as a singer to the inspiring teacher who gave her the tools to act on screen. But she’s just as candid about the difficult side of beginning her professional career so early, especially when she’s describing the strain that it put on her relationship with her mother—who was also her manager. I like the book but only have one criticism that she didn’t put in
Brandy believe it or not new listeners bran had a collab cover song with none other than tevin Campbell powerline from a goofy movie himself 🤎💛 the closer I get to you is there cover you can easily find it on YouTube but I prefer watching the short snippet version ware B AND T ARE BOTH GOOFY MOVIE THEMED DOGS PLUS MY FAVOURITE BRANDY SONG IS OBVIOUSLY WANNA BE DOWN OG AND REMIX WITH QUEEN LATIFAH AND SHE WAS A GREAT VOICE ACTRESS IN OSMOSIS JONES ONE OF MY FAVOURITE MOVIES AND THE KID LASTLY THE 3 random chapters had twilight titles one obviously being twilight and the other two being eclipse and New moon if ya know ya know I guess
