Publisher Description
First published in 1813, this is Jane Austen's most popular novel. It portrays life in the genteel rural society of the day, and tells of the initial misunderstandings and later mutual enlightenment between the lively and quick-witted Elizabeth Bennet and the proud and haughty Fitzwilliam Darcy.

Pride and prejudice
Eventually got used to the AWFUL accent of the narrator but for the price its not good value (unless you are American ) then the accent wouldnt be such a problem . she reads well and puts all the right characterisation in its just the american pronounciation thats a problem.
What????
Ms Austen must be spinning in here grave to hear such an appalling presentation of Pride and Prejudice. I could barely get past the first paragraph before I simply had to turn it off!
Dreadful narrator- amazing book
Very cheap- but the monotonous, weird accented narrator is extremely irritating, almost to the point where you can't listen to it...
