Publisher Description
Did you know that there’s so much empty space inside matter that the entire human race could be squeezed into the volume of a sugar cube? Or that you grow old more quickly on the top floor of a building than on the ground floor?
The two towering achievements of modern physics are quantum theory and Einstein’s general theory of relativity. But, almost a century after their advent, most people haven’t the slightest clue what either is about. Get set for the most entertaining science book of the year.

Superb
One of my favourite writers from New Scientist who never fails to grab my attention. This audiobook is no exception. A must buy for anyone who thinks they have a good grip on reality.
Excellent Read
This book is brilliant, explaining such complex issues in simplified terms is not an easy task but Marucs Chown is certainly up to the challenge.
Awesome......
An absolute must for anyone who would like a basic understanding from scratch of the concepts of both classical & quantum physics explained clearly with good analogies and without excessive dry formulas or equations.
Easy on the ear narration and subtle humour along with the injection of interesting historical facts of discoveries and the personalities who made them makes this by far the complete source I've found of why the world is the way it is - if you've ever wondered what quantum physics REALLY is, or whether it actually affects our everyday day life then this is for you, worth every penny and packed full of mind boggling examples and information . Thanks Marcus, a superb insight :-)
