I haven't had any exposure to learning foreign languages since school - and even then I struggled with any non-Germanic languages. I tried this out after listening to the demo and it's genuinely surprising how much you pick up in such a short space of time - it really is just like picking up the lyrics to songs on a new album. I doubt even with volume two (which I haven't tried yet - but will definitely be buying soon) this series would turn anyone into a fluent Italian speaker, but it is more than enough to have basic "holiday-type" conversations, and so much better than having to use a phrase-book at every turn.
To all the people complaining about the lack of PDF references, given the track says it's provided by Audible, it's worth checking the Audible website as they provide the PDF booklets as free downloads.

Easy way to learn
This audiobook is nothing like other language tapes where you have to keep rewinding and have to listen to the silence while you are supposed to be repeating the word. No, with this recording, it is thouroughly pleasant just to listen to it and you find whole phrases stick in your mind with no effort at all. I found i could say lots of useful phrases for real when I went to Turin and even managed to tell the taxi driver he was going the wrong way! This really is effort free learning. I only wish ther were lots more like this.
