Publisher Description
“Stephenson has a once-in-a-generation gift: he makes complex ideas clear, and he makes them funny, heartbreaking, and thrilling.” - Time
The #1 New York Times bestselling author of Anathem, Neal Stephenson is continually rocking the literary world with his brazen and brilliant fictional creations - whether he’s reimagining the past (The Baroque Cycle), inventing the future (Snow Crash), or both (Cryptonomicon). With Reamde, this visionary author whose mind-stretching fiction has been enthusiastically compared to the work of Thomas Pynchon, Don DeLillo, Kurt Vonnegut, and David Foster Wallace - not to mention William Gibson and Michael Crichton - once again blazes new ground with a high-stakes thriller that will enthrall his loyal audience, science and science fiction, and espionage fiction fans equally. The breathtaking tale of a wealthy tech entrepreneur caught in the very real crossfire of his own online fantasy war game, Reamde is a new high - and a new world - for the remarkable Neal Stephenson.

Great book and no longer corrupted or incomplete
I write this review on 19 May 2015 and promised I would correct is the issues were addressed.
In summary there was a version with the previous version that I raised with Audible and after a brief review they corrected and resupplied to the iTunes Store. I have now re-downloaded the book and can confirm that its complete and in the correct order! What a great book! I really enjoyed the narration which is well-paced and with a fantastic range of accents (some a bit dodgy but all better than mine and what passes for Hollywood). The story is exciting and fast paced but with a healthy dose of technology and strong characters.
—————————— Previous review -----------------------------------
This is a great book. The narration is very good with fabulous intonation and read at a good speed.
There is however a major problem. The book is incomplete. It is downloaded in 5 parts but the end of the 5th part finishes several chapters before the end of the actual book. I have raised this with Audible and shall post here if I hear from them. I also have a suspicion that several of the chapters are mixed up within the book but have not had the time to unravel them. In summary a great read. (and I hate to mark down Neal Stephenson ), But don’t buy this version!
Great Story could be better read
I have commented on this aspect before and maybe one day somebody from the production companies will read this and take note. The reader is regularly confused by words of a foreign origin and mispronounces them time and again. It's as if they have never heard them before. But the crime of the century award goes to the Scottish accent to represent the character of Wallace. Is that really the best that could be done? Even Scotty in Star Trek got it more or less right but this is just too toe-curling for words. I am sure Neal Stephenson will be similarly disappointed in this production. Are there no producers and directors who know how words should be pronounced? mjkm
