It is in regrettable circumstances that beautiful Judith Taverner and her brother Peregrine first meet Julian St John Audley. The man, they both agree, is an insufferably arrogant dandy. But unfortunately for them, he's also the Fifth Earl of Worth, a friend of the Regent and, their legal guardian.

Please, iTunes, more Georgette Heyer Regency romances
This is a superbly-narrated book, well worth spending the money and whiling away a day shut away from modern life. Georgette Heyer is supreme when it comes to the Regency romances. Her style, wit, ability to turn a seemingly bland occasion into a madcap adventure, is unparalleled. Her heroes are more often than not handsome, dark, mysterious, endowed with strength of mind, and an innordinate facility to weaken a damsel's knees at 20 paces. Her heroines, on the other hand, are no swooning misses. They are strong, independent and imbued with a fireiness that acts as a perfect foil for her chosen beau.
This is one of the best and most typical of Heyer's Regency stories. It's a lot of fun and really well read. I am becoming addicted to these Heyer audio books. They are a bit expensive but I think worth it and the fact that they are unabridged is essential - well done iTunes.
A truly classic Georgette Heyer novel. Male guardian falls in love with young female ward - that basically sums up the plot. Many romance authors have written a book along those lines but no one comes close to Georgette Heyer for style and panache. Thank you i-tunes for adding this one! But please don't stop adding Georgette Heyer audio books - there are still so many to go!
