As one of the most consistently funny radio series of the 1960s,
Round The Horne was always a favourite among listeners to the BBC Light Programme's comedy hour on Sundays.
Once again Syd Rumpo, Julian and Sandy, Charles and Fiona, Seamus Android, and Daphne Whitethigh burst into life with the voices of Kenneth Williams, Betty Marsden, Hugh Paddick, and Bill Pertwee amongst others.
This series includes "The Disappearance of Edwin Braden", "Who Killed the Amazing Proudbasket?", and "From Russia With Love".
Just sit back and enjoy the laughter as you tune into some of radio comedy's finest moments!
The sound level on this recording is dreadful. Even with the volume cranked right up it is only just audible in a small room. Rather than risk the others in this fantastic series I'll stick to buying the cd's. Not impressed itunes.
