9 months in and dry
This book saved my life.
9 months in and not one drop since.
Tried to stop on and off for 5 years previously but failed.
Brilliant
Not sure at first , now I’m positive it worked
At one point I wholeheartedly agreed with Mr Carr, then right in the last three chapters I thought it was very mixed ,unclear, and like he was trying to convince himself- which made me go off all the hard work he had previously achieved with me ... I’m going to take a lot away from this book . Hopefully I’m talking drivel and in a few days it clicks , but right now I don’t feel much different .
I held back sending the above - I’ve had a few days to digest it - and where before I craved/routine wanted a drink after work - I haven’t felt any cravings whatsoever, and the thought of alcohol doesn’t make me feel sick- but makes me wonder why I ever drunk alcohol before and I just have no feeling towards it - I can’t exactly explain but I feel like this is a new chapter as I don’t feel like I’m using will power to withhold drinking like before ... now I just don’t want to go near it !
