I often listen to audiobooks while driving and if I'm struggling to get off to sleep. This was my first Nadine Dorris book and I loved it. Vivid characters and you definitely get a feel for what life in poverty stricken Catholic Liverpool was like. She's never going to win critical acclaim, but like Jeffrey Archer I think Nadine Dorries tells a cracking yarn. I've now listened to all 3 books in this trilogy and bought them for my Mum for Christmas!
