The Glassblower of Murano
A beautifully written book; superbly descriptive. A 2 dimentional book, spanning from old Venice with a male narrator to Venice in current times, with a female narrator - both narrators excellent. This is a lovely epic story describing a young woman, newly divorced and her striving to find a new life, tying in her obsession with her ancestor, a great glassblower of Murano. This book, as well as being a wonderful story, I also found fascinating with the description of the glassblowers and their art. Highly recommended. I was sad when the book finished....wanted it to go on for ever.
