Here's a fantastic ghost adventure story, laced with menace and humour.
When a baby escapes a murderer intent on killing the entire family, who would have thought it would find safety and security in the local graveyard?
Brought up by the resident ghosts, ghouls and spectres, Bod has an eccentric childhood learning about life from the dead. But for Bod there is also the danger of the murderer still looking for him - after all, he is the last remaining member of the family.
A stunningly original novel deftly constructed over eight chapters, featuring every second year of Bod's life, from babyhood to adolescence. Will Bod survive to be a man?

Such a good story
Gaiman narrates his own book and though he doesn't sound as polished as some actors might, it made it even better. The story is clever, fantastic, sinister enough to make you anxious but not scared - and funny. When it was over, we missed Bod, the main character!
Listened to this travelling to Cornwall in the car with the kids, we thoroughly enjoyed Neil Gayman's narration which gives it an authentically spooky edge. This book will be enjoyed by all ages, my son liked it so much he bought the hardback on return from our holiday. The characters really come alive and we were sorry the story had to come to an end. Buy this you won't regret it.
Outstanding audiobook, enjoyed it thoroughly!
