Naxos AudioBooks continues its new series of Great Poets – represented by a collection of their most popular poems – with W. B. Yeats, one of the most loved poets of the twentieth century.
He left a large legacy of outstanding poems, and the finest are collected here: Down by the Salley Gardens, The Lake Isle of Inisfree, The Secret Rose and He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven.
They are read by a strong cast led by Olivier award winner Jim Norton.

Great Readers-Bad Product
The readers perform Yeats's poems well, but I cannot recommend this product. Several poems are introduced, and explanations are given, but then sometimes a completely different poem is read. This must be an error as it is not always the case. As a result, despite claims that this is "unabridged" some of Yeats' most famous poems "Easter 1916" and "Cap and Bells" are missing. The reader gives these poems two minute introductions in the audiobook, but then when it's time to read them, it skips to another poem. making for a very unsatisfactory audio experience. This feels like a shoddily edited careless product.
