THE SCORCHING HOT LOVE AFFAIR ABOUT THE MAN THAT EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT . . .
EVERYONE IN THE WORLD KNOWS HIS NAME. BUT IT'S YOU HE WANTS.
To the media, Hayes Campbell is the star of a record-breaking British boyband.
To his fans, he's the naughty-but-nice front man - whose dimples and outlandish dress sense drive them crazy.
To Solène Marchand, he's just the pretty face that's plastered over every girl's bedroom wall.
Until a chance meeting throws them together . . .
The attraction is instant. The chemistry is electric. The affair is Solène's secret.
But how long can it stay that way?

Read the book instead of listening
Buy the book don’t listen to audio book. Hayes sounds like King Charles so is really annoying.
*Another life*
**3.5-4 Stars**
This is a tale predominantly about an age gap relationship. There is lust and steamy sessions between the two. The difference is it is between a 20 year old young man Hayes Campbell and a 39 year old soon to be 40 Solène Marchand.
Hayes is in a huge boy band called ‘August Moon’. He meets Solène when her ex-husband who I did not like, bought tickets to a meet & greet with the group for her daughter and friend and he drops out at the last minute so she takes the girls instead.
For me it sometimes felt uncomfortable but Hayes came across quite mature for his years. This relationship was clandestine due to the fact that Solène has a 12 year old daughter. Despite Hayes asking her to tell her daughter she refuses. But then social media rears its ugly head and the comments are vile.
There is such a double standard here as most people accept it when a 50 year old man is with a 20 year old, yet a woman is vilified. I am speaking from personal experience as I am married to a man 25 years older and we have been together just over 21 years. I have a few friends in age gap relationships some have been very successful. I think it depends on the individual.
While Hayes is happy in their relationship, Solène spends her time continually debating his age. This relationship does not just affect Solène but it spills out and affects her daughter’s life and other avenues. I did enjoy it overall but Solène’s constant debating got old. How will it end? Will Solène and Hayes it go from strength to strength or is it doomed to fail?…
I noticed that the movie version of this book is showing on ‘Prime Video’ I will definitely watch it to see how close it is to the book.
Don’t do it
The narration is awful! Monotone, with this very odd way of finishing every line / sentence with falling intonation, which makes it sounds completely devoid of any emotion or personality. It felt like they were trying to make every sentence sultry but having the opposite effect. To top it off, the English accent impression is truly painful.
