APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
We’ll admit it: we didn’t think an audiobook dedicated entirely to the magnificence of the nightingale could be quite so compelling. And yet, conservationist, musician and traditional music specialist Sam Lee has here crafted something very special in his love letter to the ubiquitous songbird. With poetic elegance and real warmth and affection, Lee tells us of the nightingale’s influence on musicians, artists and writers, and dives into its nature, migration patterns and distinctive vocal stylings in a way that feels almost spiritual. This is an impeccably researched, beautifully delivered listen that’ll educate, soothe and inspire.

Dulldulldulldulldull
This is tedious. Pretentious. And most importantly….. dull. Too dangerous to listen to in the car because it makes me sleepy. Too annoying to listen to under my pillow for half an hour at night to send me to sleep. I can’t find any use for it.
